..As we go to print this fabulous ship, the latest Cunard ocean going cruise liner, the Queen Victoria, has just left Southampton en route to the Canaries.
This latest launch means that for the first time in the company’s 168 year history, three Cunard Queens (the Queen Victoria joins the Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2) are in service together.

- The Victoria is the second largest of the Cunard fleet and its innovations include a gymnasium for fencing and fencing lessons and a floating museum of nautical memorabilia called Cunardia. This voyage is the second of the special maiden voyages and will take in Vigo in the Spanish peninsula, Lisbon in Portugal, Malaga in southern Spain before calling into Funchal in Madeira on the way to the Canaries. The first stopover will be in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 9am on 29 December, docking at the same time the following day in Arrecife in Lanzarote and arriving at 8am in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on New Year’s Eve. The ship will stay in the tinerfeñan port to see in the New Year, sailing at 2pm on January 1st on the way to Casablanca, Gibraltar and home.
