 News from the financial sectors in Spain and the Canary Islands Reserve fund investment The Spanish Labour Minister, Jesús Caldera, recently revealed that the government intends to put an additional sum of five billion euros into the Social Security’s reserve fund. This follows the extra four billion that was put into the fund last February and 4.3 billion that was added in July. Caldera added that if the social party won the general elections in March then they were going to consider investing in the stock market to boost funds. Currently the money is only invested in government debt issues.
