News from the financial sectors in Spain and the Canary Islands
As a result of the continuing rise in fuel prices and following the steps of most major airlines, Europe’s biggest touroperator, TUI, will be putting its prices up as from 1st of December.
TUI is the owner of Thomascook International - 30.11.2004
- The fuel surcharge will affect all reservations for package holidays after this date. Short haul flights will suffer a five euro rise whilst long haul flights will go up six euros. TUI is confident however, that the surge in oil prices will not affect the company’s balance as the surcharge is in effect paid by the client.
The German company also assured that despite the price rise of flight seats, they haven’t seen a drop in the number of reservations for this winter season.
