Norman’s regular sampling of Tenerife’s restaurants
Season’s recommendations
If this is your first time on this wonderful island, as far as eating out is concerned I can assure you that you are in for a great treat as we have many great eateries, bars, restaurants and clubs.

22.12.2007 - Harry’s American Pie
This superb restaurant situated in the magnificent shopping area of the Safari Centre has, in my opinion, surpassed all others for the family evening out.
What a great atmosphere and more importantly, fantastic food for kids from nine to ninety.
What a marvellous place to take your children for that festive meal and they are open Christmas Eve till late.
The food is appetising and very good and if you are thinking of treating the kids or having a birthday or children’s party at any time there is no better place to take them.  Don’t worry about Dad as they have a number of huge TV screens so he won’t miss any of those important sporting events like, football, racing, rugby or golf in their V.I.P Sportsman’s Bar.  It’s a great place to enjoy the sport and a great meal at the same time and there isn’t a more happy or friendly place than here to enjoy this special time of the year.  The lovely thing about this restaurant is that you are not just a customer to them but a friend.  Reservations on 922 797 734.

Do you like classy Italian restaurants?  The ones where the food is superb, the specialities are endless, pastas, meat or fish, the setting is perfect and the staff is professionally managed?
Then go to Dante’s, in the main area of Playa de las Américas in the Salytien commercial centre, near the hotel Gran Tinerfe. Dante’s has become a sought after restaurant and its beautiful views overlooking the ocean are second to none.  The management has created a terrific atmosphere, a beautifully designed romantic restaurant and to eat here in the open air is a joy.  I can give this restaurant no greater compliment than to tell you that when I dined here recently with Lee half of the customers were Italians.

Magic Lounge Bar
Wherever you eat over the festive season finish a perfect evening by going to a well-named establishment with an international reputation, the Magic Lounge Bar.
It’s a wonderful lounge bar, superb design and ideal for that late night drink whilst enjoying top class music and live entertainment.
For such a great setting, entertainment and waitress service this is superb value for money.  Next door to the Pirámides de Arona  in the Mare Nostrum Complex. This unique venue will definitely become one of your favourite places on the island.

We shall be visiting these places over Christmas so if you see us please come over and say hello or, even better, invite us to a drink.  Have a wonderful Christmas!
