08.06.2014 - La Pepa Food Hall and Market at the Pasarela Oasis shopping centre in Los Cristianos is, quite simply, one of the best chill-out areas around.  Be it for dining, relaxing, spending time with the kids, or enjoying a cool drink with plenty of fresh air and some fabulous views, La Pepa is the place for you.

Taking up the whole of the roof area of the Pasarela, the market is an oasis of gastronomic delights, with something to tempt almost every taste bud.  There are over 20 different establishments offering everything from German sausages, crepes, hotdogs and the finest gourmet cheeses.

For instance, at Naiko’s you can enjoy sushi, yakisoba or maybe a little nikuman, or next door at Horfruscar you can indulge in a fresh fruit juice, try out the salad bar or buy tasty looking fruit or vegetables.  For fish try La Pepa Pescaito Frito and for those keen on shellfish Mariscada sells a tempting array of clams, oysters and lobsters.  For meat lovers there are plenty of examples: patés and sausages at El Almacén de Coloniales, Espacio Olé Gourmet, de Bello and the Charcutería Aleman; chicken at El Corral del Sur; Mexican at Margarita Tex Mex; and pasta and pizzas at Gusto.

Pepa Pan sells delightful cakes and breads; and there is even a stall for vegetarians and vegans, as well as plenty of traditional Spanish and Canarian snacks to choose from.  And that’s just a selection!

For drinks you can buy a fine wine from La Mar de Vinos; coffee and tea from Kafetea and a selection of soft and alcoholic beverages from Benditas Cañas or Bar Lovento.

There are a  number of terrace areas, both covered and open to the sunshine, where you can eat your pick-and-mix meal at your leisure, indulge in an ice cream, visit a traditional English bar or, best of all for families, sit back and relax whilst your children enjoy themselves on the adventure frames and bouncy castle.

There is even a newsagents, flower and plant stall, hairdressers, and organic produce area.  There is plenty of parking, easy access: and all is set in a bright, modern area with a relaxed and welcoming feel to it.

The main opening times are 10am to 10pm, every single day of the year, though the bakers and coffee bars open a little earlier, and bars and cooked food outlets will stay open later for those who require it.

World Cup

Sound like the ideal setting for viewing the football action?  What more could you possibly want?  All your needs are covered and there isn’t anywhere else you could possibly get a better view: from June 12 to July 13 the specially installed four metre wide and three metres high screen will show all the action, from start to finish, every match of the competition.
