A two and a half hour hike in Teno Alto blends well with an hour blowing the cobwebs away in a kayak outing off this northwest tip of the island. September 5: Punta del Teno. Take a sea view for two hours paddling under the magnificent Los Gigantes cliffs. September 12: Garachico. A two hour excursion off this pretty northern town gives a panoramic view amongst other things of the lava flows that did so much damage in 1709. September 26: Masca ravine. A bus takes you from Los Gigantes to Masca where experts will guide your steps down the ravine for a three and a half hour hike to the beach. There kayaks await you for a three hour sea excursion back to your starting point. Groups of 16 or more can book their own personalised excursion combining the open sea kayaking with a swim, a hike, pot-holing, climbing or snorkelling.
