This course is hidden away in the far North West corner of Tenerife, situated on the coast between the village of Buenavista del Norte and the most westerly point of the island Punta De Teno.

19.08.2010 - The course, designed by Seve Ballesteros, was opened in October 2003 and was honoured in its first year by being chosen to host the Ladies P.G.A. European Tour. An achievement repeated in July this year.
Wonderful views afforded by many highly elevated tees, dog legs, rocky cliffs and water hazards make every hole a pleasure but some deserve special mention.
The third with its sharp dog leg left and green guarded by two front bunkers is a difficult hole to negotiate. The sixth gives lovely views out to sea and my first lost ball following a blind second shot. The seventh is the most difficult and I lost a second ball in the rough - a long dog leg right with a narrow target area for your drive. The waterfall and fountain make the ninth a particularly attractive if tricky hole and the tenth is surely one of the most spectacular in Tenerife, where two fairways cross and a painted figure 10 on the fairway provides the clue for your tee shot. Last year, the green had been damaged by salt spray, due to its proximity to the sea, but I am pleased to report that this problem has been solved and the green is back to its pristine best. Criss-crossing the tenth is the awesome thirteenth, another Par 5 with highly elevated tee and far away green on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean. This requires a strong drive to carry to the fairway situated at the base of a cliff. I lost another ball at Hole 14, an uphill Par 4 with natural volcanic rock and plants nestling to the right of the fairway leaving a narrow target area for your drive. You pass a small chapel on the left as you approach the 18th tee, but it is perhaps a little too late to pray for divine intervention! A large pond in front of the green provides a final challenge to complete an excellent golfing experience.
The uniquely designed clubhouse complements this amazing course perfectly to provide both an excellent start and end to a wonderful day’s golf. The adequate locker room was equipped with superb power showers - with heads twice the size of even the most modern-day drivers - to freshen up at the end of the round. Finally, the bar/restaurant provides a full service all day, ranging from typical Canarian tapas to fillet steak; all at competitive prices.

To complement the golf, a new luxury Di Vinci Hotel has opened adjoining the course making Buenavista an ideal venue for a golfing weekend away or a midweek break.
