A fantastic day was had by all and more information is on our website. We are now planning bonfire night celebrations, so watch this space. Many, many thanks to all involved. All involved in the recent benefit at the Theatre Bar, San Eugenio, raising €201.50. Hosted by Suzy Q there was entertainment by Nick Page, Phil Gibson and Cy Benson and his talented daughter Shelley. Thanks to owners Dennis and Jackie for providing so many prizes, and to Val Karlsen for selling tickets. To Jean Blake for a €500 donation from the sales of her knitted toys, John Jay, and all involved in the fundraiser in Coral Mar Square, raising €280 towards the purchase of a mobile home for Eugene. He is very very grateful!! David, James and all at the Merry Monk, Los Cristianos, for the benefit night at the beginning of August which raised €230. Hosted again by Suzy Q, with Phil Gibson, Indiana as Lady Gaga, Ged Bolton as Rod Stewart, Dave Michaels, Chris Bryan and Robbie Dominic, and Sky Sports presenter Chris Kamara in attendance. Lovely Trisha sold the raffle tickets, sandwiches were provided, and a good night was had by all. Thanks so much.

Land purchase The plan to buy their own land continues, possibly even the land they are now renting. To help this along Live Arico are asking supporters to buy a square metre of land at €5 per square metre. You will receive a certificate from Live Arico for now, and your name and number of square metres purchased will be on a 'roll of honour' in the welcome centre at the new refuge. So far they have sold 509 square metres of land for a total of €2,545.00.

Live Arico shop news (in association with Tenerife Nursing and Care) The shop has moved to the front of Coral Mar, on ground level, next to the Coral Bar. They hope it will make life far easier for unloading with parking right outside, and our elderly and disabled customers will no longer have to negotiate the stairs. Opening times have been extended to weekdays 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. They now have a fantastic range of beautifully decorated cards handmade by Denice from €2. They can also now gratefully accept items of furniture as they are working with Fish for Furniture, Los Abrigos and Idea, Adeje. Call Rick to arrange collection. Any donations of dog or cat food are also gratefully received at the shop. Revised adoption procedures. It is now Live Arico’s policy to ask for a minimum donation of €50 for an adopted male dog, and €75 for a female, which is paid direct to Hospivet Sur on collection of your new pet, who will as a result be chipped, neutered, vaccinated and wormed.
