 Local, regional and national sports news ACB League GC Play-off disappointment Gran Canaria’s failure to reach the play-offs in basketball’s ACB League (Premiership) for the first time in recent years is seen as a warning sign that changes are needed at the club, the only Canarian side in the top flight. Rumours of major problems in the dressing room between players and also between some senior members of the team and Maldonado soured the end of the season and although they were denied by the club at the time several changes now look certain during the summer. Among the likely departures is local idol Roberto Guerra, whose contract ends now.
