Football22.12.2007 - Top German team Kaiserslautern have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming Maspalomas Cup competition, which is staged every winter in the Gran Canarian resort. The Germans join Rosenberg from Norway and Helsingborg from Sweden as the foreign clubs for the event, which takes place from 8-10 January and also includes local second division side Las Palmas. The Norwegians are ever-presents in the Cup in recent years, having participated in every one of the last three editions. Last year they finished runners-up to eventual winners Shakhtar Donestk from the Ukraine.
