The forward line at Las Palmas will have a Bulgarian flavour this season following the club’s surprise signing of striker Spas Delev.
The 23-year-old winger has signed a two-year contract and will add pace to the left flank, says manager Sergio Lobera. Delev was voted Bulgaria’s Young Player of the Year in 2009 and has been capped seven times by his country. He arrives as a free agent after his contract with CSKA Sofia ended after four years, the first of which was a season-long loan. He spent half of the 2011-12 season in Turkey with Mersin Idmanyurdu but was forced to return to Bulgaria after the club hit financial trouble.
