The ultrasonic cavitation, also known as aesthetic cavitation is a relatively new technique is a very smart way to reduce fat as it is converted into liquid and then eliminated along with urine in the regular, natural way. The process is faster when cavitation is followed by a lymphatic drainage, as drainage is very effective at eliminating liquids.
Let’s look at the details on how ultrasonic cavitation works:
The ultrasonic cavitation reduces fat cells with certain manipulation techniques, thanks to a machine that is placed on the skin exactly in the area to be treated. The physics principle of cavitation was not used in aesthetic medicine until recently . The machine works with ultrasounds that form a bubble in the tissues where the fat cells are. The bubble expands and then it is immediately compressed. The temperature increases due to the sudden pressure variation making the bubble implode. The implosion damages only the fat cells, reducing the localised adiposity. With the cavitation the fat cells are exposed to a pressure that breaks their membranes, unleashing the destruction of adipose deposits. The fat contained (triglycerides) fragments into diglycerides that are expelled via the urinary system. A low-calorie diet is recommended as well as drinking at least two litres of water before and after the treatment, both seen as an essential step in the fat elimination process.
Generally one cavitation treatment lasts 40 minutes, and a single part of the body is treated: abdomen, buttocks, internal or the external part of the thighs are the most common ones. The minimum suggested number of weekly sessions is from eight to 10.
For those who like to take care of themselves, are in good overall health condition, and want to improve their appearance but are concerned about the classic problem body areas, struggling on a diet or want to target a small area: knees, belly, lower backm this form of treatment is ideal.
If you have tried every diet, every pill; every cream and every potion but still can’t reduce that ‘impossible’ area that makes you feel uncomfortable.
Liver or kidney disorders, cancer, pacemaker, hearing sensitivity, severe heart condition, metal pins or plates or high cholesterol.
Cavitation does not leave bruises or scars, and it is not painful. You can still go on with your regular lifestyle, you don’t need to sign off work, there’s no anaesthesia required. However, it is highly recommended to drink plenty of water to help flushing out the fat (already converted into liquid), to follow a draining diet full of veggies and fruit, as well as getting some lymphatic drainage done. Firming creams will help improve the appearance of the skin and keep the results already achieved.
