 Local, regional and national sports news British Games Club Christmas cheer Late news has just arrived of fun and games at the British Games Club.  The games were followed by a traditional Christmas lunch, catered for fiftysix hungry players, members, guests and supporters, by the fantastic Juan and his team. Special thanks to Jim Goodman,the team captain, to Maxine Self for her time spent organising the event, to Lorna {Nigella} Hamilton for making the Christmas puddings, bread sauce, stuffing and chipolatas, Lorna and Elaine Holland for wrapping fiftysix Santa gifts and Pam Squires for expertly organising the raffle. A special thank you to Santa for making the journey south in the middle of all his preparations. After a very successful raffle, liqueurs and coffee rounded off a great afternoon. Many thanks to Juan and his staff for a terrific meal and to Alvoro and family for lending a hand and enabling the event to go ahead. The captain and committee of the tennis section would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to all their players and social members for all their support and generosity over the past twelve months and wish everybody a happy and successful New Year.
