27.12.2014 - One of the most gruelling of the fashionable endurance trials was held in the spectacular Anaga Mountains in the northeast of the island and produced an exciting race, which was won by La Gomera’s Cristofer Mora.  He completed the 42km through rugged range in a time of just over four hours and two minutes, beating the record for the December event.  The full marathon through the hills was not the only race taking place.  Equally popular was the vertical run from Punta del Hidalgo to Cruz del Carmen, a distance of 10km from sea level to a height of nearly 1,000 metres, uphill all the way.  The category was won by Bruno Martín in a time of one hour seven minutes, with the ladies’ title going to Amada Sánchez (one hour 13 mins).
