Water Shiatsu is the world’s first form of aquatic bodywork.
It is designed to utilise the pressure points of zen shiatsu in order to open up the nerve pathways along the body’s meridians.
With Watsu the whole body is treated 24.11.2007
- The body is gently moved and stretched by the practitioner in warm water, 35-36 (94 – 96) degrees, which is the same temperature as the skin. This gives the person a sense of deep relaxation as the body merges into the surrounding warmth of the water. Muscles relax and become pliable, as flexibility increases and more freedom of movement is created. Pain virtually disappears as the spine becomes more free in the weightless environment of warm water.
With Watsu the whole body is treated
The body is massaged by the warmth of the water, both internally and externally. A deep sense of peace is achieved. Watsu® affects every level of one’s being - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Experiencing this level of freedom and flexibility reprogrammes the receiver to face life itself with greater flexibility and balance.
