New salon for Bellissima
Nicola Roberts, originally from North Wales, who studied beauty therapy, massage and electrolysis privately at the Yorkshire College of Beauty, has spent 17 years in Tenerife and started Bellissima Health and Beauty on the beach road in Los Gigantes in 1996. After seven years she introduced hairdressing and alternative therapies and in 2004, moved to more convenient premises underneath the Sports Centre.

Los Gigantes - 22.12.2007 - Last year Nicola suffered a long illness and underwent surgery. Unable to work directly with her clients, she instead dedicated herself to overseeing and improving the business in other ways. Now Bellissima has expanded, with the introduction of an additional salon in San Eugenio Alto, at CC Teide.  Nicola spent all summer refurbishing a run-down hairdressing salon which is within easy reach of the TF-1 motorway with parking available. Special attention was paid to selecting the right dcor and furnishings, and each of the treatment areas is air conditioned. Hairdresser, Paul Curtis, has joined Bellissima. He is also a lecturer at the Britannia School and will soon start post-graduate training in all aspects of hairdressing to UK standards at the salon.  Bellissima is the only salon to offer electrolysis by Nicola who is an ex-Sterex student of the year, so the many clients who used to travel to Los Gigantes for electrolysis can now have their treatment in San Eugenio. Bellissima offers all the services which have been available in Los Gigantes for the last eleven years. Nicolas team, Jannie Howlett (beauty therapist), Erica Jeremiah (chiropodist/podiatrist, reflexologist and posture assessor), Lisa Harris (osteopathy and acupuncturist), Magdalena (massage, sports injury therapist, reflexologist and Indian head massage), Michelle Curtis (nail technician), Rebecca Hayes (beauty therapist), Laura Marsden (hairdressing junior) and Laura Coleman (beauty therapist and Calgel nail technician) have all been kept up to date in modern techniques and Paul Mitchell, the international hair products company, has given Bellissima the Paul Mitchell salon of excellence award.
