 Daily news from the Canaries and the islands' biggest English language newspaper on-line British soldiers arrested over restaurant fracas Five British soldiers are to appear in court today in Lanzarote charged with assault and causing criminal damage during an incident in a restaurant at the week-end. Costa Teguise - 08.02.2010 - The five were arrested after staff and customers at the Vaca Loca restaurant in the popular resort of Costa Teguise were hurt, some of them seriously, in what appears to be a drink-fuelled confrontation late on Saturday night. According to the local media, a number of Spanish Civil Guard officers who were called to deal with the disturbance were also attacked and some required treatment for their injuries.
