 Daily news from the Canaries and the islands' biggest English language newspaper on-line President falls foul of ATCs Canarian president Paulino Rivero has asked his legal team to look into formal action against air traffic controllers who held up his helicopter yesterday for an hour on an inter-island flight. Tenerife - 09.02.2010 - Rivero and senior officials were denied permission to take off from Tenerife North Airport for over 40 minutes and were then forced to circle over Gran Canaria for another 20 minutes before being allowed to land.
