Adeje - 21.09.2004 - The bus rolled on out of control going straight through a give way sign and in the direction of an even steeper incline that leads onto the beach when the driver forced it into a skidding turn onto the GC 500 trying to slow the vehicle down.  The bus turned over onto its left hand side and two passengers at the rear died with severe head and chest injuries. It would seem that the drivers fast thinking avoided a total tragedy.  She escaped with severe shock but the accompanying guide was unhurt.  Of the 52 remaining passengers, two seriously injured individuals were transferred by helicopter to the Hospital Negrin and the Hospital Insular, 43 others were ferried to the Clinica Roca for treatment for multiple injuries, fractures and head injuries.  Seven are considered to be in a serious condition.
