The Telde council is looking for vandals
In Gran Canaria, the Telde councillor for street cleaning and rubbish collection, Eloy Santana, had the Barranco de Silva cleared last week. In this nature reserve, old washing machines and parts thereof had been illegally dumped. Together with the Local Police, the council is now seeking the unknown person(s) who are behind this pollution. In the past, Eloy Santana's office has been able to solve several similar cases and make the perpetrators accountable. He emphasised that waste disposal of this kind is not only a threat to the image of the area, but also a threat to the environment.
