Five fugitives arrested in Tenerife
Over the last three months, the National Police have arrested five people in Tenerife, who were the subject of European detention orders issued in their own countries. Among them was a 38-year-old German woman who lived in Acorán near Santa Cruz and who was wanted for 116 offences of fraud in Germany. She was arrested in April.

17.07.2017 - In May, a 68-year-old Italian was arrested in El Fraile, Arona, who had been convicted for organised or armed robberies in Italy and was on the run.  In June, a 40-year-old German who was wanted for fraud was arrested in Puerto de la Cruz.  A little later, a 57-year-old Hungarian was arrested in Las Galletas, Arona.  He was wanted for drug trafficking and organised or armed robberies.  In July, a 38-year old Latvian who was being sought for embezzlement, was found and detained in La Camella, Arona.  The National Police have special units which are solely dedicated to the detention of fugitives who are the subject of international detention orders, and who might be in Spain.
