High temperature warning for next week
The Canarian health department has warned once again of temperatures which could reach between 24 and 32 degrees. This warning relates to health risks which could especially affect children, the elderly and the chronically ill. The warning is valid from Monday 7 August to Wednesday 9 August.

06.08.2017 - Precautionary measures are to avoid exposure to the sun or exercising in the open air between 12pm and 4pm.  In addition, drinking sufficient water and a light diet are recommended. In the affected areas, the medical centres and the hospitals are on alert.  The risk areas are in many parts of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and La Palma.
