Local Police act against juvenile drug use in Arona
The Local Police in Arona have announced intensive checks to detect drugs, especially use by minors. There will be targetted education at the beginning of the school year, but the purposeful search with the help of drug detector dogs should help significantly. Last weekend, checks were carried out in Guaza, La Camella and Playa de Las Américas. Four young people were arrested including a 17-year-old who had hidden 100 grams of hashish in his underwear. He was stopped for a driving offence in La Camella and the sniffer dog Dana detected drugs on him immediately, so he had to undergo an intensive search in which the drugs were seized. He was reported to the juvenile prosecutor's office.
