Rescued at a height of 50 metres
On Thursday afternoon at around 3.20pm, the Las Palmas fire brigade climbed to a dizzying altitude. A window-cleaner, who was cleaning the windows on the 13th floor of the prominent Woermann high-rise building with a crane, was in distress. The crane had swung to the side and blocked. The employee was stuck at a height of 50 metres.

19.11.2017 - The man, who was secured with a safety rope, kept calm and waited patiently until the firemen freed him from his predicament.  Because of the height, they decided to lift the man from the roof of the building with ropes.  The rescue operation lasted about 50 minutes.  The commander, Norberto Guerra explained, "The employee kept calm for the whole time and helped us a lot.  We were able to work in peace and quiet without any rush."
