A kitesurfer and swimmer drowned
Yesterday was a black Monday with two people drowned off the coasts of the Canary Islands. In El Médano, a kitesurfer at Playa Peña Maria reported a possibly unconscious colleague he had pulled out of the water at about 10.45am. On arrival, the emergency medical team was only able to confirm the death of the man. He probably drowned.

05.12.2017 - Also found unconscious, was a 78-year-old German woman.  The incident was reported at 5.17pm at Costa Calma beach in the municipality of Pájara in Fuerteventura.  She was recovered unconscious from the Atlantic Ocean with clear signs of drowning.  Also in this case, the casualty had already suffered a cardiac arrest. The resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
