A giant Roscón in La Orotava
The typical Canarian sweet for Three Kings Day, the Roscón, will be served on Thursday evening from 6pm in the Avenida Emilio Luque in La Orotava. The special thing about it is that it is a collective work that is over 100 metres long. Portions are sold for one euro and the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross for the care of the needy. It will be served with 500 litres of hot chocolate. This Roscón will be prepared in two flavours, chocolate cream, and confectioner's cream, and is produced by the Manobuena Patisserie. They process 2,400 eggs, 75 kilos of sugar, 50 kilos of sweetened condensed milk, one kilo of cinnamon and 350 litres of milk.

03.01.2018 - The dough, similar to a brioche, is made by the León Bakery.  They need 500 kilos of flour, five kilos of fat, 10 kilos of butter, 50 kilos of sugar, 500 eggs and 70 litres of milk.
