Police chase in Las Palmas
Local Police officers from Las Palmas only wanted to carry out a routine inspection on Monday evening, but instead of stopping, the driver of a car accelerated and drove off. He drove in the wrong direction, against oncoming traffic, across a playground where he almost injured several children and their parents, and finally collided with a bollard. The driver fled on foot but his passenger was immediately detained.

12.01.2018 - The vehicle had neither a valid insurance nor ITV and forged documents were found.  Also, the sticker on the windscreen indicated that the ITV expired on a different date from that shown in the documents. The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Las Palmas, who was arrested at home a short time later, did not even have a driving licence. Fortunately, no one was injured in the pursuit.
