The Burial of the Sardine in Los Silos
Carnival is still continuing all over the island. If you live in the north west in the Isla Baja area and don't want to travel as far as Santa Cruz or the northern metropolis of Puerto de la Cruz, you can plunge into the turmoil in Los Silos. The sardine will be buried there on Saturday evening. At 5pm the imaginative papier-mâché figure will be brought to the cultural centre by children making a lot of noise.
