Tormented animals while they took a Canarian holiday
A family in Sallent in Barcelona was sentenced last week to three months in prison, suspended, and a three-year ban on keeping pets. The animal protection organisation FAADA had reported the family after they set off for a twelve-day holiday in the Canary Islands in February. They left behind an adult and three puppies.

18.03.2018 - The puppies were left tethered to a leash only half a metre long, had a muzzle, no water, the dry food was mixed with excrement and there was urine on the ground.  The adult was tied up on the terrace and had no access to water or food.  Residents had informed the animal protection authorities, who succeeded in having the court classify the offence as a serious violation within the framework of animal protection and act as such.  The four dogs have now been adopted by good humans.
