Woman saved from suffocation in La Laguna
A 65-year-old woman from La Laguna owes her life to the quick reaction of a waiter and the equally quick intervention of the emergency services. She was eating her snack so enthusiastically in a cafeteria in La Laguna on Sunday lunchtime that her food literally stuck in her throat and took her breath away.

14.05.2018 - A waiter alerted an ambulance crew who happened to be in the vicinity and the emergency services.  A paramedic used the so-called Heimlich method, an upper abdomen compression, and reached the point where the woman eventually spat out the fateful bite and got her breath back.
