A man who kept a pack of dogs
The animal welfare network Red Canaria de Animales Sin Hogar has drawn attention to a serious case of a dog collector. A 60-year-old man from Telde collected all the dogs he found abandoned on the street and took them to his finca where he provided them with water and food. He had about 50 to 60 dogs. This way of trying to save animals is known as 'Noah syndrome'. Family members informed animal welfare charity. A spokesman for the charity said, "The general condition of the dogs was good, but they were littered with fleas and ticks, numerous bitches were pregnant and some had already given birth to pups."

12.08.2018 - Leales.org will now search for shelters or foster homes where the animals can be taken in.  The organisation Salva un Podenco has also joined the campaign and so far 28 animals have been removed from the finca.  The others also need to be placed.  If you are interested, you can contact Red Canaria de Animales Sin Hogar directly.
