Naked tourist damaged the lava flow

A random eyewitness alerted the police in Lanzarote on Monday. She had seen a naked man using a lava flow in the Pico Partido area very close to the Timanfaya nature reserve, to build a monolith. He did it without consideration and respect for one of the most spectacular volcanoes on the island. The lava fields date from the eruption between 1730 and 1736. She told La Voz de Lanzarote, "Unfortunately, the man and his companion disappeared before the police arrived. It is regrettable that in an area that is considered protected, there is not more surveillance, either by the police or by environmentalists of the island council."
