Shopping spree for cruise liner passengers
At the weekend, seven cruise ships are expected to stop at the port of La Luz in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria's capital. As the winter sales began this week, passengers will be able to take advantage of the shops being open on Sunday in the city centre, in the districts of Triana and Mesa y López. In addition, the usual events will be held to entertain the guests. A folklore concert will take place in the Santa Catalina district at 11am on Saturday and in the Parque Doramas at 12 noon on Sunday. There will also be a handicrafts and cultural market on Sunday in the Plaza del Pilar Nuevo in the old town of Vegueta.
