An armed bank robbery was committed at a branch of Cajasiete in Tacoronte on Monday afternoon at 3pm. The unknown perpetrator waited until the customers had left the bank, then he put on a balaclava, closed the door and held a pistol in front of the employees. He told them "I know you are employees, but this is a robbery." He demanded cash, locked the bank employees in an adjoining room and disappeared. The bank has not yet calculated the exact damage, but it is estimated at about €5,000. Since the robbery was recorded by cameras, the man is expected to be identified as soon as possible.
