Dog suffering from heatstroke rescued
A dog recently had great luck, when he was discovered in a car by a Guardia Civil patrol team. The car was completely closed, except for a window with a small crack, and was in full sunlight. The animal was panting heavily and the officers estimated that the temperature in the vehicle had to be around 30 degrees Celsius. Due to the acute danger of heat stroke, they tried to identify and locate the owner of the vehicle as quickly as possible. They found him in an apartment nearby. The man hurried immediately to the car and freed the animal. He stated that he was in the process of moving and that he did not yet have a permanent place to stay. That's why the dog had been living in the car for two weeks. He also admitted that the dog had not left the car for about two hours. The officers reported that the animal had not been kept in a proper manner and that it had not been vaccinated against rabies as required.
