Thieves caught red handed in the National Park
Guardia Civil officers have arrested a 19-year-old man and two women aged 21 and 28 years who broke into cars in the Roque de García parking lot at Pino Gordo. A tourist had reported a suspicious trio in the parking area. At the scene, the officers discovered the man sitting in a car and the two women strolling through the crowd. They asked the three to identify themselves. During a search of the car, the police found €1,000 and several banknotes in various other currencies, such as Sterling and Irish pounds and dollars. There was also a wallet under the passenger seat, the contents of which had nothing at all to do with the three of them. Two tourists told the officers that they were victims. The three were arrested and have now appeared in court at La Orotava.
