Police help a bus passenger
On Monday, a traffic patrol crew was alerted to a public transport bus, line 103, which was stopped on the TF-5 motorway, at El Rincón near La Orotava, in the direction of Santa Cruz, on the hard shoulder. It attracted attention by means of a hazard warning flasher. They stopped and saw that the explanation by the bus driver was confirmed: a passenger had passed out on her seat. After the emergency services had been called, the police, with the help of another passenger, laid the woman in the stable lateral position on the ground. A little later she regained consciousness and could be raised. When the ambulance arrived, the paramedics decided after a short assessment to take her to a nearby medical centre in Puerto de la Cruz. The remaining passengers were able to continue their journey to Santa Cruz in a replacement bus sent by TITSA.
