PP lose out in Palma capital

The mayor for 14-years of Santa Cruz de La Palma has been removed from power by a censure motion presented by Coalición Canaria and PSC-PSOE.

Santa Cruz de la Palma townsfolk have a new mayor

Santa Cruz de La Palma - 24.03.2005 - Carlos Cabrera, of the Partido Popular, will be replaced by nationalist CC leader Juan Ramón Felipe for the first 13 months, with the PSC-PSOE taking office for the next 13 months.
PP spokesman Jesus Nuño was defiant after the power changeover. “The citizens gave their vote to the PP, not the CC or the PSC,” he said.
