Puerto past, present and future?

While it was once the jewel in Tenerife’s tourism crown, the future of Puerto de la Cruz as a tourist destination is under the microscope, with the council working hard to renovate the town as an attractive quality destination for new as well as return visitors.

Ask those who live or work in the area and many agree that changes are needed urgently to regain the status the zone once had among guests.

But is it a common perception, or the changes needed small rather than radical?

Perhaps they could alter a few small things, like the steps leading up to Tigaiga Hotel. Some are really dangerous. But we think, everything should stay the way it is.
