Rupture in Puerto politics

As reported elsewhere in this newspaper, the ruling coalition between the socialist PSOE and the conservative PP in Puerto de la Cruz has split, but will it actually make any difference to the day to day lives of residents in the northern town?

I think that this breakdown will cause the resurrection of Puerto de la Cruz. Now it is clear that the alliance does not work. The opposition CC has forecast this already – they have been cooperating with them and knew how difficult it is to work with Eva Navarro.  The former mayor Marco Brito declared that he will support a minority government of the PSOE in all matters, which is good for Puerto de la Cruz. I am sure the town now has the chance to revive itself and become the lovely town that it was in former times.
