As reported elsewhere in this newspaper, the ruling coalition between the socialist PSOE and the conservative PP in Puerto de la Cruz has split, but will it actually make any difference to the day to day lives of residents in the northern town?

Now it is clear that the attempt to govern together did not work. But I don´t think that there will be many changes. I would suggest that there should be someone placed in a leading position, who has experience in business and therefore knows what the town really needs. I also think they should put much more effort into requesting subsidies. There is money waiting to be spent, but they do not really know how to get it.
