Bare necessities

The issue of nude sunbathing made headlines in Tenerife recently when the council at Granadilla de Abona appeared to be trying to ban the practise at La Tejita beach, though there was something of a u-turn when the matter was challenged with some stating that no council had the right to regulate what people wear on the beach.

But should there be some rules or a basic dress code for public beaches? How do you think nudism on Spanish beaches should be regulated?

Years ago there was nudism at the Playa Papagayo in Lanzarote, today there are only housing developments. Africans or Indians regard it as natural to be naked, in Europe it is just religion which makes us prudish. I have nothing against nude sun bathing, but I agree that it is impossible on public beaches, to avoid annoying the imbeciles.
