|Remember the days of the old school yard? More likely you remember those hazy lazy days of summer which seemed to stretch on forever and there was nothing to do but play – but many of the children of yesteryear are parents today and the long summer days pose a huge problem: what to do with the kids? In an ideal world at least one parent would be around to relax and spend quality time with their offspring, but tell that to the bank manager when the mortgage needs to be paid.|
Today more and more local councils are organising summer camps and activities for local children. But is that enough, or should there be a more comprehensive selection of holiday activities for kids?

I have my own business and I am divorced. I have worked it out with my ex-wife, who works half days, that I spend a whole month with the children when I close my business for holidays and spend the time with my sons. For the rest of the holiday they stay with my ex-wife where their grandparents are also on hand to look after them when she is working.
