Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, der hübsche, mit Kokospalmen bewachsene Strand von Playa La Arena und die Uferpromenade mit vielen abwechslungsreichen Lokalen sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.
Die Halbinseln mit dem Strand Playa La Arena ist der wärmste Fleck des gesamten Archipels, nur hier wachsen tragende Kokospalmen.
In Gehnähe befinden sich verschiedene Geschäfte, Supermärkte, ein deutscher Bäcker, ein Obst- und Gemüsemarkt und ein Zeitungskiosk. Auch gibt es gute Bus-Fernverbindungen, beispielsweise zum Teide, nach Puerto de la Cruz und in die Inselhauptstadt Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Für das leibliche Wohl stehen gute internationale und einheimische Restaurants, Bars, Eisdielen und ein inselbekanntes Fischrestaurant zur Verfügung.
